Among all of them, the best to have breakfast was definitely the Café Deadend. It’s in this cool yet quiet part of Sheung Wan, slightly hidden away from street, right behind its sister bakery shop. The staff was particularly attentive, the atmosphere very relaxed and the coffee and the food excellent. The first time we went, I was sitting on the counter and I was in awe of how meticulously they were preparing everything. François even declared their french toast the best he ever had, so, that’s that!

Parmi toutes ces adresses, la meilleure pour prendre le petit-déjeuner est pour moi le Café Deadend. C’est dans une partie calme mais très chouette du quartier de Sheung Wan, un peu en retrait de la rue, juste derrière la boulangerie qui leur appartient aussi. On a beaucoup aimé l’accueil très attentif (et très intrigué par nos appareils photos!), l’atmosphère détendue et bien sûr, le très bon café et la carte courte mais soignée. Lors de notre première visite, j’étais assise au comptoir et j’aurais pu les regarder préparer les assiettes pendant des heures, tout semblait fait avec un soin si méticuleux ! François déclara même que leur pain perdu était le meilleur qu’il ai mangé jusqu’alors…Voilà un vrai argument !
