This time, it will be a Nile adventure, and it will be with Voyageurs du Monde, on their Steam Ship Sudan, a mythical boat fit for a pretty iconic trip. Back when I started traveling, a Nile cruise was high on my fantasy list…It’s saddening me that the situation now makes it a curious thing to say, and a lot of the people around me aren’t too excited (not to say afraid) when I tell them about my going there. Still, my last trip to Egypt left me with such incredible memories that I really didn’t think twice when the opportunity to go back presented itself .
I leave you with a picture from that day we went to the White Desert, in the western part of the country, where you can see the silhouettes of the lunar monoliths in the distance.

Cette fois-ci, l’aventure se passera sur le Nil, avec Voyageurs du Monde et à bord de leur mythique Steam Ship Sudan, un bateau historique à la hauteur de ce voyage un peu mythique. Quand j’ai commencé à voyager, l’idée d’une croisière sur le Nil faisait partie de mes fantasmes, et ça m’attriste de penser que la situation actuelle rend cette déclaration surprenante. Autour de moi, les gens sont rarement enthousiastes (pour ne pas dire effrayés) à l’idée que je parte en Egypte. Pourtant mon premier voyage là-bas aura été tellement marquant que c’est sans hésitation que j’y retourne.
Je vous laisse avec une image de cette journée où l’on est entrés dans le désert Blanc, dans l’ouest du pays, et de cette perspective incroyable alors qu’on s’en approche et que les silhouettes des monolithes apparaissent à l’horizon.
